Our own trade-qualified install crew, with more than 80 years combined experience on the tools, are the team that actually lays your floor.

How much does flooring cost in Newcastle, supplied and installed?
As a guide, supplied and installed by our own crew: carpet $30-$200/m², hybrid and vinyl plank $55-$115/m², laminate $45-$100/m², engineered timber $110-$250/m².
Those ranges cover product plus standard installation. They do not include floor preparation - that's quoted separately once we can actually see your subfloor.
Do you charge for the measure and quote?
No. The in-home measure and quote is free with no obligation. Book an open time online in about a minute, or call the showroom on (02) 4049 8017. The measure itself usually takes around fifteen minutes.
Do you use subcontractors to lay the floor?
No. Our showroom team look after you from the start, at your measure, and through ordering and scheduling. Our own trade-qualified in-house crew with over 80 years combined experience, are on the tools in your home or office.

Is hybrid flooring waterproof?
Yes. Hybrid has a rigid waterproof core, which is exactly what separates it from laminate. It handles spills, mopping and humidity without swelling, so it suits kitchens and open-plan living. Perfect for DIY installations.
Do I need floor preparation, and is it in the price?
Sometimes.
Hard flooring needs a flat, stable subfloor. If yours has dips, movement, or old flooring that has to come up, that's floor prep - levelling compound, moisture barriers or removal - priced separately once we can see it at your free measure. We keep it out of the online guide price deliberately, so the number you see is honest rather than padded to cover a worst case that might not even apply to your home.
Can new flooring go over existing tiles?
Often yes, provided the tiles are flat, sound and well bonded. We can check this at the measure and tell you straight away if they need to come up first.
How long does an installation take?
Most average homes are done in a few hours. Larger or two-part installs take around one to two days once the product has arrived. Carpet through a few bedrooms is often a single day. Exact timing is confirmed with you when the order goes in.
Do you move the furniture?
Yes, we can move standard furniture as part of the install for a fee - just flag it at the measure so it's allowed for in the quote and on the day. Very heavy or fragile pieces and full wardrobes we'll talk through case by case.
How long will the floor last?
Can I see the flooring in my own room before I buy?
Yes. Walk full-size floors in the Gateshead showroom, or have our mobile showroom bring samples to your door. Take a sample home and see it in your own light before you commit to anything.
